Nurse Manager MedCheck

Job Duties

  • The Nurse Manager (NM) will work in conjunction with the Site Provider Director to meet the department s goals including ensuring proper staffing levels, high quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial efficiency are met or exceeded.
  • The NM provides daily leadership supporting the operations of the facility.
  • The NM exhibits excellence in clinical patient care, customer service, critical thinking, schedule management, relationship development, organizational skills and acts as a role model.
  • The NM demonstrates performance consistent with all professional standards of practice and the mission, vision and policies of the Community Health Network.
The NM directly manages all non-provider clinical staff and non-clinical office staff. This role has been empowered with the authority and autonomy necessary to ensure appropriate clinical and patient satisfaction outcomes, as well as implementation of efficient and effective team processes. ExperienceMinimum of five years of applicable clinical practice with two years of clinical supervision or management experience. Education
  • Associate's of Science in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor s degree required within 5 years of assuming the role.
  • Master s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Certification required in relevant specialty or nursing administration within 3 years of assuming the role.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage, lead, and train the staff of a busy and complex facility with multiple business lines.
  • Demonstrated up-to-date skills in providing patient care (vitals, injections, charting, assisting with procedures etc.) as may be required to mentor and to serve as practice nurse in critical or urgent situations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relationship development skills and utilization of conflict resolution techniques.
  • Ability to lead staff and work with providers and administration in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Functional and technical understanding of applicable scheduling and billing software, Intranet and Internet usage, Excel/Word software, E-mail usage and Web-based applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform CPR (Class C Infant, Child and Adult) and to properly use an AED.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a management philosophy that places patients first.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
